gosh, I had goosebumps on that last play-by-play BH. Although I actually played in that game, my brain was a little fuzzy...must have taken a big hit. Couldn't remember who was ahead and in what quarter. "Just score baby" kept running through my head.....
Ooooooooooo spanking time.........I walk into Chicago, intimidated before I start. Only managing four Field Goals, I get walloped 25-12 by an always tough Chitown Bear club.
The Quackers and the Packers - yes, I was hoping for that to happen one day! The last of Craig's games is used up, and so were Oregon with a tired 11 point showing. Green Bay serves 'em up, 19-11.
Packers and the PMackers next. You'd think I made this up, wouldn't you...? Green Bay pounds out a tough 17 against the Bills, but Buffalo prevails with 22.
Baltimore will not give up against Buffalo, even though the New Yorkers are coming off yet another victory. This time at home, the Colts put up four straight touchdowns, all unconverted of course. Diddle!!! Pmack's Bills come up just short this time with 21 points. Baltimore 24, Buffalo 21. _________________ My darts were born of father's play, decades later to leagues then led.

This one was out of order, in case the QB's were wondering, but I saved Chitown's commentaried one til now - it is the Bears against the Buffalo Bills, in a match up of probably the hottest offenses of regular teams!
Both are capable of throwing four touchdowns a game, who will do it today??!!
First up, the Bears, and our commentator, Chitown!
1st quarter
Well looks like the veteran Brian Griese is getting the start today in this driving rain, it's going to get muddy out there. Griese linning up to take the snap sending wr Muhammad in motion. He fades back into the pocket and lets it fly down the left sideline. Oh what a catch, Muhammad actually took the ball out of the defenders hand as he falls down for a 40 yard gain.
Ok Griese set to take the snap, fades back, no he hands off to his rb Jason McKie. He deeks a would-be tackler and scampers down the right sideline for a forty yard touchdown run. They set for the extra point. Gould sends it through the uprights 7 points. 2 darts =80 3rd darts s-b.
2nd quarter
Alright folks the Bears are linning up for their 2nd possesion beaming with confidence they can score at will on this suspect defense. Griese takes the snap, fades back and as he is evading a tackler he sends a screen pass to his T.E. Wallace, the rookie out of Auburn for a gain of 55 yards.
Here we go Griese takes the snap, looks to his left and oh my throws to his right and finds W.R. rookie Bryan McClendon all alone in the end zone. Yes folks the Bears are here to play some football. Here's the extra point attempt, it's up it's good 7 more points. 1st 3 darts =95 hit s-b.
14 points at the half.
3rd quarter
The Bears are coming out of the locker room knowing all they have to do is get the ball and they will score. Griese yells out the signals and takes the snap. He hands off to the Thomas Jones for a gain of 15 yards. Griese takes the snap spots W.R. Reggie Harrell streaking across the middle and hits him right in the hands for another big gain, 40 yards. Can this offense be stopped? Griese takes the snap looks left looks right, no one is opened so he starts to bootleg. stops short of the line of scrimmage and spots his F.B. wide open in the end zone. The rest is history folks touchdown. here's the extra point attemp, it's blocked, finally some defense. 6 points. 1st 3 darts=85 m-b total after 3 quarters =20
4th quarter
Ok they are bringing Rex Grossman to replace Griese after a great 3 quarters. Grossman takes the snap from the 20 yard line, fades back. It's a bootleg. He's at the 30, the 40, he crosses mid field and he is finally brought down at the 45 yard line. Ok Grossman takes the snap, it's a screen pass to his rookie R.B. P.J.Pope. Pope does the rest as he scampers in for a 40 yard T.D. run. Can anybody stop this team?
1st 3 darts =85 s-b. Total 27.
Yes, folks, the Chicago Bears do score four TD's and post up 27 points. Impressive, eh? Now for the Pmack Buffalo Bills..... _________________ My darts were born of father's play, decades later to leagues then led.

Hey! Who stepped on a duck??!
Guess I'd better submit some MORE games! (Gosh, I thought the 25 I submitted would last for a looooooong time! Not!) _________________
First quarter - First and ten, on their 20, Joe Ferguson hands off to OJ, who cuts through the line like a man after the last rental car, and scampers right down the middle for the TD. PAT good.
Second quarter - First and ten, on their 20, Joe Ferguson hands off to OJ, who deeks left, then right, then leaps a custom's barrier and scampers down the right sideline for the TD. PAT good.
Third quarter - First and ten, on their 20, Joe Ferguson hands off to OJ, who accelerates like a white Bronco in the passing lane for the TD. PAT good.
Fourth quarter - First and ten, on their 20, Joe Ferguson hands off to OJ, who deeks out Leslie Nielsen, then runs right around George Kennedy, then flattens Priscilla Presley and scampers into the end zone for the TD. PAT...missed.
Bears 27, Bills...27!!
We will have to wait for a rematch! _________________ My darts were born of father's play, decades later to leagues then led.

Dart Talker saunters up with his San Diego Chargers in tow, noticing the scraps going on and offers to play a game. String's Packers are tired after a handful of matches, but they agree.
The Chargers' fresh legs prove too much though and San Diego prevails 14-9.
Last games left. My Colts and String's worn out Pack. Baltimore 22, Green Bay 12.
A bunch of war-weary, pigskinned-out players call it a night and head home. To throw darts! _________________ My darts were born of father's play, decades later to leagues then led.

It's been a while since we had any games. I have some scores, but was hoping for some more....let's play some and try to get more people playing again. These games are so quick to throw.....
The Teams tonight are:
The John Part NY Jets
The Oregon Ducks, QB'd by CraigB
The Boise State Broncos, led by BigNasty
The Chitown Bears
and the Baltimore Colts coached by the BlackHorse.
I roll a die to determine who plays whom, and then just take the games in order received.
The Duck Call goes out for the first game, and the Broncos answer it. Oregon started out hot in the opener with 21 points scored, and just my luck, Boise State match them TD for TD!! We will use the second game as their OT - The Ducks kick three Field Goals, and the Broncos kick four!
Boise State wins in OT!
My Colts take on the other horses, fresh off of their win. BigNasty repeats his four FG outing, but I have my best game for a while with 24 scored, so Baltimore takes it.
CB's Ducks come up again, and so do the Broncos - just to make sure, I kept rolling, and Boise State's number came up five times in a row! Oregon is trying to avenge their earlier loss, and CB throws for 14 points. The Broncos nipped them in OT the first time, and it is almost as close here as Boise State wins 15-14.
My Colts are going to repeat their Super Bowl disaster with the Jets, but it will be John Part doing the damage this time instead of Joe Namath. New York scores an outrageous 29 points!!! My Colts limp in with 16. John shot quarters of 8 - 8 - 6 - 7, for a tremendous game.
BigNasty's number keeps coming up and his last game is being played against Chitown's Bears. Boise struggles on a muddy field and puts three Field Goals through. Chitown had one of his lowest scoring games at 17. Yup, that's a bad one for the Bears!! Chicago 17, Broncos 9.
The No-Laughing Jets are up against the Oregon Ducks. Craig will have to have a decent showing here to make a game of it, and he tosses 23 points! John punches in three TD's and falls just short. Oregon 23, Jets 21.
Craig always says I use up his games too fast, but he has been the most prolific shooter in the DFL, so he gets matched up against all comers. His name appears on the scoreboard once more, against Baltimore this time. But I don't think he will be too unhappy as his Ducks win 20-19 in a frustrating one for me!
I'm up again, and facing the Jets again. I scored a TD, believe it or not, but overall managed just 9 points. Not the thing to do against John. He took it easy on me - Jets 16, Colts 9.
My games are not getting matched up well at all! I get a decent offense going to put up 20 points, only to run into the Bears. Chitown 27, Baltimore 20. That's only one convert short of four full TD's for Chitown in that game!
Oregon travels to New York for a rematch but can't duplicate the previous result. Jets 18, Ducks 9. Bears and Colts rematch......not sure why I bother! Putting up 19, I have a chance, but Chitown toys with me and scores just a bit more than enough to win. Chicago 21, Baltimore 19.
I am going to finish off all the games except for CB's -
The Colts and the Ducks do a Home and Home, splitting the pair. Baltimore takes the first 15-13; Oregon claims the second 16-15.
I saved the best for last though - the Chicago Bears are used to windy cities of course, and score a terrific 23 points in Oregon. But the wind in CB's town isn't from the weather, it is from the Ducks racing to the end zone over and over - Craig throws a near perfect game. 7 - 8 - 8 - 7, for an amazing 30 points!! His is the high game of the night, congrats CB for a masterful outing.
That's it for the DFL tonight. Remember, it takes just a few minutes to throw a whole game. Get in some fun practice and have your team record some wins!! _________________ My darts were born of father's play, decades later to leagues then led.

Craig,
I just want you to know that I fired my whole defensive unit and at this very moment hand picking the new defense I am going to throw at you the next time we meet.
That was a heck of an onslaught, I may have to fire the defensive coordinator as well. Great darts and game but I will not take this defeat lightly. _________________ Spring 2007 A State Champions Incredibles
