My darts game took a dive in recent months and an MRI recently confirmed I have a SLAP tear in my shoulder. I am having some trouble finding an orthopedic surgeon who takes me seriously about wanting to get this fixed because of my dart game, but that's another topic.

I am curious if this is a common injury for darts players, at least for us folks over 60. Is is apparently common for baseball pitchers, but never thought throwing a relatively light dart could cause this. Of course, I was consistently practicing 1-2 hours a day when this developed.

So, is this a common injury to darts players?

Can't say I've heard of this before. Doesn't take much effort to throw a dart so I'm wondering if it wasn't something else?
