Hey everyone! It has been years since my last post. Why...? I developed a major hitch in my throw, became disheartened, and stopped throwing.

While I was not playing darts any longer I never lost the love for this sport. So now I am trying to get back into it.

At this point I am just trying to get a nice smooth throw again. I can deal with poor darts, but this "Hitch" takes all of the joy out of playing.

One of the major factors I believe is that I removed the practice of drawing my dart back. So now I must start from a complete stop. As a result getting forward motion without a ton of shoulder action is nearly impossible to achieve on a regular basis.

I think adding the draw back in would cure most of the problem, but I literally can not draw my arm back from a 90degree. I know it is possible to change my throw. I have done it before.

    Wish me luck!

All the best hammy. I hope you can get your throw back. I am looking forward to the day you post that you are all the way back, with no problems.

Good luck. In the same boat. Picked up my darts for the first time in over two years last night and had a decent session. Little bit of a hitch, but got better as the session went on. Can't wait to get home and try it again tonight!

Sometimes I just have to stop myself and regroup. Tossing just to get in shape is good but at some point I have to settle in and start working on making my throw smooth and straight again. It's a pain (because I want it to just happen dammit) but pays off in the long run! Wink

Things have gone well in general since re-introducing the draw into my throw. Very few hiccups. At the beginning of the night on Thursday KopRalph and the gang were at Molly's as usual for a Thursday. At the beginning of the night Ralph was unbeatable. I guess about an hour in, I started hitting a little better and had a purple patch.

Had a great time until the alcohol kicked in. Oh my... how things quickly deteriorated. LOL.

    Great fun!
