I just read the MCDL post about the fall season...i have to say I am intrigued about the league sponsors for new england tounies...
Is this something the MMDL would be willing to do? Hold an event perhaps a month prior to any big new england area tournaments. The winner of the events gets the entries for the events paid for by the league and a nice shiny new MMDL shirt to wear? I know that the league is doing something like this for the nationals..but would they be willing to do it for the area shoots that tend to draw more of the MMDL members to them than the ADO regionals do? Just a thought....what do you guys think? It would be nice to see some sponsoerd MMDL shooters at these tournies representing the league. _________________ TREBLE MAKERS

This is an idea I used to run by some area directors who shall remain nameless. This is a no brainer in my opinion.Maybe instead of a 15,000.00 tournament that the league may or may not be planning...they start out smaller say 10-12,000.00,use the difference in the funds already planned for a tournament as a reward for the winners of a qualifier in each area.Say fees for a local tournament for winning the qualifier in the men's and women's categories...something along those lines.I am sure my math doesn't add up,but it is great PR for the league. Also,as far as I know Tom Sawyer is going to England for the World Masters...the league should capitalize on this.Dress him up in a nice MMDL shirt...take some photos, make some posters and hand them out to every bar you can find...kind of like recruitment posters...just photo shop Tom's head on Brad Pitt's body for the optimal affect. _________________ 2010 MMDL Gold Div.Men's Singles Champion

Spot on guys! Yes, it would be great to see this type of promotion and Tom is a perfect representative.

Why cant we photo shop Tom's head on Rob Petersen's body, he is after all the self proclaimed "STACKED ONE" since he used to work out _________________ Eddie Codair

Derek, The Mill City Dart League on Monday Nights already does this exact thing. It was done for the last Seacoast, Portcity & the White Mountains & they are planning on doing it again for the same upcoming events. _________________ Fall 2009 Cent A Div., & A Div State Champions

...Is it just me that thinks it's inappropriate for another league to come on to the MMDL forum and blatantly try and market their league to our players? You have your own forum shouldn't you do your marketing on there? Kinda bush league brother _________________ Darts: 23g Sigma Pro 970's

Nice Adam, I think there's a little difference between saying there's going to be an A bracket out of the Polish club in a singles league than pointing out what one TEAM league does that another one does not. But I noticed you were quick to tell me that there's a PDSL forum above ours. But now your criticizing me for doing the same? You are the commissioner of the MMDL right?
Let me edit an addition that one D-Wreck was criticized for advertising a Premier League in the MMDL forum. Did I urinate in your cheerios or something? _________________ Darts: 23g Sigma Pro 970's

But Derek was the one who started this thread.I look at it as asking if the mmdl could do something like this not the mcdl rubbing it in the face of the mmdl.I also haven't seen a mcdl player on this thread _________________ Brian R

Honestly my Cheerios are fine. Im not taking anything personally, at all, nor should you. If anything, i didnt think there was anything wrong with Mikes post or where he posted it. I didnt feel as if Mike came into the thread and blatantly tried to market the league he plays in (besides the MMDL). I think Mike was pointing out how the MCDL uses these types of events (that Derek started the topic about) to push players out to events at no cost. I guess i dont understand the apparent hostility towards an informational post.. _________________ Vice President, DoubleCork, Inc.
