LEO'S a great shot who can beat any1 out there but chooses to play in the A division instead of SA. i thot leo was gonna shoot with us this season when i heard this i thot thats great. but guess what he's playing in A again.
ok folks thats my choice who else has 1 lets start some good sh-t here, lol _________________

I'll help you out Big Guy !......LOLOL Now Leo on a A team ? I haven't played in years and years but I do remember him " sandbagging " way back when ? He was allways a good shot. But he will have to go a long way IMHO , to be the Minuteman's Biggest Sandbagger I believe currently held by another Southshore guy, Kirby's friend, Ricky Byers , who I think has more A division state titles than I have Super A ? ( and I have over 20 + ).............LMAO _________________ FORMER Member of the Guiness book of World Record 1,000,001 team,

goodie i was scoring a game with ricky playin leo. it was at the abington townhouse leo on the 1st dart with 40 left in the 3rd game of 301 hits the low ceiling & deflects into the double 20, i'm like WTF. ricky was in A when i was moving up in say 98 but i will say he's played SA when he's played in the last 10-11 yrs _________________

I'm told by Leo himself that he is the best player around... He hangs at the Townhouse and will gladly separate anyone from they money if they wish to argue that point... But be very careful, he will compete at the highest level...I love Leo and have since the first time he picked up one of my darts... Taught him the meaning of muscle memory when he was a youngin and when he's locked in even the very best in the South Shore as well as others walk away shaking their head...
Byers??? well, Byers???? did you say Byers Goody??? That is a long story..But just yesterday he was banging out 8 dart 301's with ease and lecturing my son David...He just does'nt give a crap..When he played he beat everyone he came across.. _________________ UFO'S Shannon Pub 1977

Leo should be playing in the S.A., no doubt. He is a S.A. shooter, and has been for as long as I have known him.
While we are on the subject, Matt Dalton is another player who should be in S.A. For some reason, he wants to stay in A division, and as good as he shoots, he needs to move up as well.
Sean Moran, and B-na, while they have played in the top division forever, they have their reasons for playing in A, and as long as everyone else does it, there is no reason to say anything to them. _________________ Spring 2007 A State Champions Incredible's

I'll say this, at least Leo went to an A team that did poorly in A last season and could use the help...versus some who just jump all around trying to win every season.
And they say there's no sandbagging at the higher levels haha _________________ MMDL South Shore Area Director MMDL Lights Out! Summer State Champion SuperVillains RIP Donnie Kelley..teammate, champion, and friend. |

Dave, that's the whole point. For WHATEVER the reason, good or bad. Both Leo and Ricky have immense talent at the dartboard. For that reason , fair or unfair, they were labeled " Super A " players by the masses that play darts as soon as they started playing. And because of that label Leo has now ( unfairly mind you ) if he chooses to play with " friends " in " A " division , he should be able to listen to the good natured ribbing about it ?
Frank, I understand both Sean's and BNA's reasoning in doing such things, IMHO the whole thing is skewed. If they ( Sean and BNA ) can play A, why not Leo ? If Leo can, why not Ricky, and so on and so on. Who says, 1 can, 1 can't, who can argue the merits of ones reasoning for doing it compared to someone elses reasoning ? it's all flawed really .........................LOL
Use me ( or Pete Morrison ) as an example. I haven't played league throwing darts in years, there are no stats on me basically. BUT I have a label that I was a great shot and won 20+ Super A state titles ( as did Pete ) I practice now in my cellar and can't hit the broadside of a barn ! ( YET ) But if I wanted to start or play on a team next season in the North Shore, I would HAVE to play on a Super A team ( I have that label next to me for the rest of my life ) No matter if I am 1/2 the player I was , or if the rest of the team were "E"players, women, kids, whatever. Pete has that label, Sweets does, etc. Some people can never go back down in most people's eyes , some can ? Just the nature of the Beast ! _________________ FORMER Member of the Guiness book of World Record 1,000,001 team,

leo always laughs wen i call him a sandbagger he can play where he chooses. matty d should b in SA like frank said but whateva as long as there isn't 4-5 of this type shooter on an A team 1-2 is fine & fair to the A division IMO. but they will take a ribbing, lol.
what about the old brennan brothers out of the olde sod in dedham. every time they were gonna get moved up they break the team up only to return in a couple of seasons & blow away every team in the A div _________________

Played against Leo in week 1 this season. He shot incredible darts as always and kicked our butts when he played his games. He was having a great time and it was nice to see him back in the league. Looking forward to playing him again week 8, just hope we can do better against him next time. He is definitely SA caliber but glad to see him playing in our division this season _________________ Round of Nine - SS 'A' Division Asia Palace |

I think it's time I come clean. I have been sandbagging in Super A. I need to get this off my chest. You have no idea how hard it is to intentionally miss my doubles and not throw Ro9's at will. I don't dare throw my readily available perfect game. The toughest part of all..... Pretending that sometimes I don't know my outs and throwing the occasional stupid dart. Trust me it takes a lot of skill to miss intentionally when you are a highly trained athlete programed for excellence.
I hope now you all can feel my pain _________________ Darts: 23g Paul Lim

Mark, I agree with the above statement. What's good for the goose, is good for the gander. You can't tell 1 person no, then let someone else move down.
I think it is actually beneficial to those A teams that are lucky enough to have S.A. players on their team. And for those A teams that don't have them, they should watch those S.A. players, when playing against them and learn from them that way. _________________ Spring 2007 A State Champions Incredible's
